What we process and why
- Visiting the site: IP address and browser information are processed automatically to serve the site, keep it secure and measure its use. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Contact form and e-mail: your name, e-mail and message, to answer your request. Legal basis: steps towards a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) or legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Site assistant: your messages are processed to generate an answer and are not stored. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Recipients and transfers
Data is shared with Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics, site assistant) and Google (e-mail), which act on our behalf. Data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States; these transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 45 and 46 GDPR).
Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to follow up your request. Chat messages are not stored.
Your rights and how to apply
Under Articles 15 to 21 GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and you may object. Send your request to hello@madebyecho.xyz; we answer free of charge within one month. You may also complain to a data protection authority (Art. 77 GDPR). Giving us your data is voluntary, and we make no automated decisions with legal effect on you.
